This is my take on an Asian-style peanut sauce for those of us that are peanut free. I love using this sauce for spring rolls, chicken and rice dishes, and more.
All you have to do is combine the following ingredients into a medium sized mixing bowl and whisk together. Easy!
- 1/3 cup creamy almond butter
- 5 tablespoons gluten free soy sauce
- 3 teaspoons sriracha (more or less depending on how spicy you like it)
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 3.5 teaspoons minced garlic / 3-4 cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons hot water
Depending on the consistency you like – thicker vs. thinner – feel free to add more or less almond butter and oils.
