Ingredients
- 1 pound steak. I like to use fajita or stew cuts to make things easier!
- San-J Gluten Free Tamari Soy Sauce
- 2 TBSP Sesame Oil
- 1 TBSP Rice Vinegar or Wine (sake, mirin, etc.)
- 3 Large Cloves of Garlic – minced
- 1/2 TBSP Ginger
- 1/2 TBSP Cornstarch
- Pepper to taste
- 1/2 pound broccoli (fresh or microwavable)
- Green Onion and Sesame Seeds for garnish
Directions
-Whisk in a bowl ½ cup San-J Gluten Free Tamari Soy Sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp rice wine, 3 large cloves minced garlic, ½ tbsp ginger, ½ tbsp cornstarch, pepper to taste.
-Place mix in ziplock bag with thawed steak and place in refrigerator. (I like to add the steak to the bowl first to coat the meat before adding to the bag)
-Marinate for at least 4 hours. I like to put mine in the fridge overnight for the best flavor.
-In cast iron pan, heat on medium 1 tbsp sesame oil then place in skirt steak with marinade. Let cook until desired rareness. I like mine medium.
-Cook broccoli. I like to keep things easy and use a bag of frozen veggies cooked to bag’s instructions. You can also use fresh broccoli or broccolini if you’re ~ fancy ~.
-Add in broccoli once steak is done and allow to simmer in sauce for a few minutes.
-Garnish with chopped green onion and toasted sesame seeds. And that’s it! I told you it would be easy!!
-Optional – place beef and broccoli over rice with cooked down marinade as sauce.
