New Interactive Gluten Free Map

**1/7/17 it seems as if this link has been taken down and the site is no longer active ** Hey all, I just came across this new interactive map that allows you to add gluten free places in four categories: bakery, gluten free store, full GF restaurant, and restaurant (with GF options); I’m super excited about it!!! Currently, there are only places in NY, Texas, California,St. Louis, and Southern/Central Illinois but new locations are being added quickly!! I would love it you all would take some time out of your busy schedules and add a few of your favorite places to the map. I think this could be another really useful tool for us when traveling or looking for fresh ideas for places to visit. Here is the link: Let me know if you add some locations and help spread the word! Advertisements

Peanut Butter Chocolate M&M Balls

Oh the holiday’s… Filled with ugly sweaters, too many family parties, and food that kills your New Years diet before it even begins. I’m here to continue that trend with this extremely addicting and wildly unhealthy treat. Seriously, it took a lot of willpower not to just eat the peanut butter filling with a spoon before the party even started. These chocolate peanut butter goodies also only take about 35 minutes to make and can be made with ingredients you most likely already have in your home. This makes it the perfect last-minute treat to bring to your next holiday party. What you need: 1 1/2 cups peanut butter 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar 1/2 cup (one stick) melted butter M&M’s to taste (leave a few for decoration at the end) 12oz package of chocolate chips Step 1: Melt your stick of butter. I melted mine in the microwave. Add the melted butter, peanut butter, and powdered sugar to a bowl and mix until smooth. Step 2: Add the Christmas mini M&M’s next. The original recipe used traditional …

Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Chocolate Cupcakes with Buttercream Frosting

I have been doing gluten free all wrong. I’ve never loved something more in my life than these cupcakes. A good friend of mine gave me these cupcakes as a Christmas present and I am forever a changed woman. I honestly do not even know where to begin with these bad boys. They were extremely moist and very rich in the best way possible. The buttercream frosting was like something out of the Sugar Rush Speedway game on Wreck It Ralph (if you have no idea what I’m babbling about, ignore me. I’m high on chocolatey goodness). Go out and buy ten boxes of these for yourself; then buy ten more and send them my way. What are some more Trader Joe’s gf finds I should know about?

Homemade Buffalo Chicken Wings

I recently went to dinner with some friends and they ordered buffalo wings and fried chicken bites with buffalo dipping sauce. I normally don’t get too jealous of my friends’ food but the smell of the buffalo sauce gave me the most intense craving. I couldn’t stop thinking about them. So, of course, to celebrate being done with my first semester of graduate school (YAY) my parents and I went full out. Homemade wings and homemade buffalo sauce. I haven’t had deep fried wings since I went gluten free in 2013 so this was a monumental moment. *If you’re looking for a healthy meal, this is not it* This is the dedicated fryer that I have for making gluten free goodies. It was bought for super cheap at Target. All that my mom and I did was put some raw chicken wings in a bag with some rice flour and shook them up until they were lightly coated with the flour. You could add any type of seasoning in with this if you wanted to spice …
