Yes, I do have more gluten free pizza for you. Want to know the best part? Not only does Pi has 4 locations in the St. Louis area BUT they have 1 in Washington D.C. and 1 in Cincinnati, OH. Check out their website HERE for the low down on all their locations and the full menu for each location.
I’m greedy when it comes to my pizza toppings, so that’s why I tend to make my own. And they have plenty of options on the menu for any pizza lover from the veggie lover to the meat lover. As you can see from the first picture below, my boyfriend and I went for a carnivore make your own pizza this visit with about 4 different meats. The second pizza is one of their pre-made ones called the “Bucktown”. You really cannot go wrong here, people. The Hill and the Maplewood are all awesome choices from the STL locations, as well.
All the staff I have run across have been super friendly and knowledgable. I once ordered the Kirkwood, which has meatballs on it, and the waiter let me know that their meatballs have bread crumbs in them. I should have thought of that myself, but we can’t be perfect all the time. They also have gluten free and vegan cookies!
The downside is that their gluten free option only comes in a 9 inch thin crust, but Sam and I always order two and it is usually the perfect amount of food. Also, they market omission beers as gluten free. So if you have never tested those lagery waters, be careful. Not everyone who is gluten free can handle an omission beer. I, myself, become very ill after a sip. Learned that the hard way.
JULY 2016 UPDATE: Sam and I went to the CWE location last night after seeing a movie and tried out some new menu items. We got the Chips & Dip which are Billy Goat Chips and French Onion Dip. Sam and I are dip obsessed. The onion dip was very mild and not too oniony. We also got the GF Grove 2.0 pizza and it quickly became my new favorite pizza. It has spicy tomato sauce, cheese, salami, and jalapenos.
Has anyone ever been to either the D.C. or the Cincinnati locations? I would love to hear about your experiences!
Thanks for the info! Always keeping a list of good gf pizza places in my back pocket for when I travel =).
We’ve got a few great gf and gf/df/vegan pizza places here in STL!
