Who doesn't love a good Margarita and some tacos? And these margs and tacos are GREAT! I know what you are thinking, the plate below doesn't look like tacos. They are the insides of tacos, but they are amazing. They do have corn tortillas at Mission Taco but they are warmed up on the same surface as their flour tortillas and therefore not safe with those who are highly sensitive. However, they are still amazing and you arguable get more when you order them "naked".
Pictured above are naked chorizo and naked carne asada tacos. The chorizo comes with house made chorizo sausage, fresh avocado, wood-fire grilled pineapple pico de gallo, pickled jalapeno, cilantro-lime cream and the carne asada comes with wood-fire grilled flanked steak, baby arugula, queso fresco, avocado serrano sauce. Both have some kick to them so if you don't like some heat to your food, I would go with a different choice. Ask your servers which tacos are gluten free as their menu changes and updates regularly. Also, unfortunately the queso dip is spiked with beer and the chips are not safe either… Such a bummer but the other food and drinks make up for this.
Below is the street corn off the cob. I honestly don't even know what all was in this delicious side dish but I had been hearing amazing things about it from the STL GF community and had to try it out for myself. It did not disappoint and the portion was HUGE!
There are currently two locations one in Soulard and one on the Delmar Loop and a third will be coming soon to the Central West End. Check out all they have to offer!
